Ellipsis Monday Photo Shoot #34: Earth Day

Since Earth Day was just a few short days ago, Carly wants us to photograph something that goes along with the theme. She wanted us to photograph something we appreciate in particular, but since I don't live near the ocean, or mountains, I did the best I could. Plus, it's been very rainy here the last few days, that didn't help.

First I got a shot of a squirrel in the tree in the backyard. Now, I'm not particularly fond of squirrels, but it's nice to see nature in the backyard sometimes.

It's not the best picture I've taken, but it was through a screen in the kitchen. I knew if I went out the back door, the squirrel would have run away.

Next, just to show you how rainy it has been, I took a picture of the rain. Well, raindrops in a puddle actually.

It took a few shots to get the shot just right. I'm glad the photo editing software was able to lighten it up enough to be visible.

Question of the Week: Is there something you have always wanted to photograph, but just haven't had the chance? If so, tell us about it!

Honestly, I'd like to get a shot of a tornado. I think that would be very cool and a bit scary.

Now, head over to Carly's site and check out the rest of the pictures.

Hi Mike :)

Well done! I just love squirrels! I like the idea of the drops of rain water, I would like to see you do more with moving water. :)Thanks for playing along this week!

I like your pictures very much. They are very illustrative of what is so great about our earth.
