The sky is on fire

sunrise on the way to work

As I was leaving for work the other day I noticed how cool the sky looked. I grabbed my camera on the way out the door, thinking I could take a picture when I got to work. This one I snapped through the windshield on the way to work. Yes, I was stopped. See the red light? It's a little blurry since I was in the car, but I think that makes the picture better. Well, to me at least. I'm not a pro by any means.

On another weather note; I'm watching my college football team on TV. It is very foggy there, it makes me feel like there is something wrong with my eyes as I'm watching. I keep wanting to rub them to clear my vision. Yes, I'm a dork.

What a pretty sunset! One of my favorite photos ever was done through a car windshield...

Isn't it funny how your eyes can fool you? Kinda like when you're in a stopped car, and the car next to you rolls slowly forward, making it seem like you are rolling backwards!

Wow, great sunrise! We don't get them like that in Hawaii! (Not that I'm complaining...)

Dawn: Thanks!

I know what you mean. I used to have a stick shift and whenever the car next to me would inch forward I would panic thinking I'm rolling backwards. :)

Dreamybee: Really? You have nice sunsets though. I took a nice picture on Maui a while back. I should mention that the morning of this picture it was 36 degrees. I'm sure you morning was a nice 75 at least. :)

Nice picture! You must leave the house for work even earlier than I do. Glad you were stopped when you took it, though :-).

I took a bunch of pictures through the windshield when we did our road trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon this summer. Some were good, some had too much glare. But I agree with you that sometimes shooting through the glass gives a nice effect.

Florinda: Thanks. I hand to leave before 6:30 to get to work on time. I don't like it one bit. :)

This is the first time I tried it through the window. I think you're right though; I was lucky that it was dark.

Nice pic. I'm usually headed to work about the time the sun is rising too, but I'm too much in a rush to get to work to get a picture. lol

DC: I think you go in earlier than me. At least you have time later in the day to take pictures of weird people and cars on the street. :)
