Cheech and Chong are getting back together! Can you believe it? I wonder how much pleading Tommy Chong had to do to get Cheech Marin to go along with it?
They are going to do a live tour; no new movie. Yet. Oh, you know that is going to be the next step if this does well.
I'm not sure how many of their movies I saw, but I remember my brother renting some of them...on Betamax. Yeah, it was a while ago. There was one time when we were watching one of the movies, I think Nice Dreams, and my little cousin was there and started repeating the lines. He was five. He didn't get to watch anymore of the movie. I think his mom wanted to, though.
This could be funny, or sad. Or, a little of both. We'll see.

Never saw any of their movies, but they did one of my favorite Christmas novelty "songs" (if you can call it that). I used to have a Christmas album called Dr. Demento's Greatest Christmas Novelty CD Ever! (don't judge me!) and their routine "Santa Claus and His Old Lady" was on it. Something about magic reindeer and special brownies...
Cheech has kept himself busy - he's on Lost occasionally as Hurley's dad - but I don't think Chong has ever recovered from the '70's. This could be very strange...
Florinda: I didn't know there was a Dr Demento Christmas album. Interesting. I also never heard that Cheech and Chong bit.
Yes, Chong hasn't done a whole lot. He's going to drag Cheech down with him. :)
