Cafeteria, you're dead to me

Okay, maybe that is a little harsh, but I have to complain again. Yesterday it was stale salad. (Thanks Cookie and DC for backing me up the possibility). Today was a bad sandwich.

They have a turkey sandwich that is pretty good and pre-made, so it's easy to grab. The roll it was on didn't look right, but I couldn't touch it to see if it was hard. Or just plain funky. So, I took a chance and brought it upstairs. My instincts were right, it was funky. And I was pissed. I didn't have time to go back and complain so I performed some sandwich surgery and eat the insides only. Hey, at least I cut down the carbs!

I need to go to the store to get more food for lunch. I can't rely on the cafeteria to provide me with edible food anymore. And I need to get up earlier to put a decent lunch together. That is the bigger problem.

I'm hungry.

But, the important question is...how did the sandwich sound? lol

Wow, your cafeteria sucks. Is there a food place nearby enough to grab something quick? Looks like it's sack lunch time. That's what I usually do. And I keep a box of cereal and a couple of Cup O' Noodles for 'emergency' situations.

DC: It's not usually so bad. It must be the economy.

There isn't much around here, and we have to stick close to our area here. We don't really get a lunch per se, we eat at out desks. That's why this place gets so messy. :)

While I'm sure the sandwich wasn't great, you do realize you're a food snob, right? As your wife it's my duty to be straight with you and point that out. You are very particular about your food.

I vote for getting up earlier to make your lunch. Or else make it the night before (says me - I make my sandwiches for the whole WEEK on Sunday. Yes, I'm odd.) You can avoid the cafeteria - and potential food poisoning! - AND save money, too :-).

Jenn: I don't know what you are talking about. :)

Florinda: The whole week? Wow, that must take some time. Yes, I need to make them, I know. I'll start next week. :)
